I noticed very minimal gas bubble formation. The crust layer contained a relatively darker shade of color from the rest of the entire batch. It was also easier to take off then the other parts. The smell was kind of like the original flour mix but with a more rotten hint to it, difficult to describe. I proceeded to transfer the layer onto a new clear bowl and mixed the same way as before.
